About
Owing to the complexity in winding the UHT ceramic-coated magnet wire, we can take full advantage of our ceramic insulation by winding before fully curing and sintering the insulation to maximize bending performance. This allows for the only low-profile ultra-high temperature (500ºC +) coils to be produced in this market.
Successful Applications

Our high-temperature coil windings have been implemented within many extreme environment applications such as the below:

  • Space electrical propulsion; Hall-Thrusters

  • Downhole

  • LVDT windings

  • Refinery applications such as Coriolis flow meters, solenoid valves

  • Speed sensors

  • Turbine applications

Winding Process

1) Customer part is received, inspected, and cleaned

2) Ceramic insulation is coated on the bobbin (if metallic) as an insulation layer. This improves dielectric properties and the bond between the coils and bobbin.

3) Ceramic-coated wires are winded

4) Ceramic is applied between layers to improve adhesion, improve wire uniformity, and increase resistance to vibration

5) Quartz fiber is fully wrapped over the completed coil to protect the insulation from damages and to improve mechanical properties

6) Coil assembly is vacuum dipped into ceramic, dried, and cured. The ingoing/outgoing wires are clad in a quartz fiber sleeve, and the final product undergoes testing before being shipped
